What is Gnosis and who uses it?
Gnosis Safe is most widely used by DAOs who have a treasury to manage and want to ensure it’s safe and secure without single points of failure.
You can fully customize how you manage your company crypto assets, with the option to require a predefined number of signatures to confirm transactions. Require multiple team members to confirm every transaction in order to execute it, which helps prevent unauthorized access to company crypto.
The process to swap or farm with DAO funds is now simple.
When DAOs make payments to vendors, employees, or other DAOs, they likely need to do it with a specific token. So let’s compare the process before the integration and after.
Old Process: Multi-sig transfers funds out to a hot-wallet controlled by a single user who makes the trade into the correct token and sends it onward.
This creates multiple transactions as well as a single point of failure in the hot-wallet user who could potentially make a mistake or disappear with funds.
New Process: Multi-sig swaps funds within Gnosis via Pangolin and sends payment directly to vendor, employee, or DAO in their preferred currency. No single person needs to take control of the funds to accomplish payment.
This also means that gathering the correct funds to farm with is much simpler, allowing DAOs using Gnosis to more easily put those funds to good use.
